2 years WeGo Carsharing Solutions in Germany

The innovative Amsterdam-based technology company, WeGo Carsharing Solutions, celebrates the 2-year anniversary of its first international branch in Kaiserslautern/Rhineland-Palatinate in March 2022.

On 2 March 2020, WeGo Carsharing GmbH was founded with headquarters in Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate. The branch in Germany was the first step towards international growth for the company.

“Starting in the middle of a pandemic was admittedly a big challenge, but we were nevertheless able to position ourselves as a leading provider of mobility solutions for commercial fleets on the German market” explains Willem Schonewille, Managing Director of WeGo Carsharing GmbH.

In the meantime, WeGo Carsharing GmbH equips smaller and larger fleets of a wide variety of companies throughout the DACH region with the software and hardware needed to implement sustainable mobility concepts – whether in the corporate carsharing sector or in residential mobility.

For about 11 years now, the originally Dutch software provider has been realising efficient and sustainable mobility through innovative car sharing and making a real contribution to the transition from car ownership to use. With the WeGo mobility solution, companies and users from various sectors can make vehicles – cars, mopeds, as well as bicycles and cargo bikes – available to a specific group of users via smartphone app and keep track of the use of the vehicles.
