We are very pleased to announce that we have been successfully ISO 27001 recertified.

In today’s digital era, data privacy and information security are becoming increasingly important. Fleet management or car-sharing projects, heavily reliant on digital tools, may be exposed to risks of data breaches, unauthorized access, and cyberattacks, putting the data of businesses or organizations undertaking such projects at risk. With ISO 27001 certification, you can rest assured that all your information is properly managed and protected not only within our car-sharing platform but also within our company.

But what does ISO 27001 mean exactly?

ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems (ISMS) that sets out requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving information security. The certification acknowledges that WeGo has the necessary processes, procedures, and controls in place to protect sensitive data.

Why is ISO 27001 important for WeGo?

This certification is particularly crucial for us as we aim to digitize and advance all phases of our customers’ fleet management, including sensitive and confidential information, through our software. The certification serves as proof of our ability to securely manage and protect our customers’ data, emphasizing our role as a reliable and trustworthy technology partner in digitizing fleet management and implementing car-sharing projects.

New ISO 27001:2022 Standard

An ISO 27001 certification is valid for only three years, and even during these three years, annual surveillance audits are required. WeGo was certified ISO 27001:2013 in 2020, so this year’s audit not only required recertification but also compliance with the new ISO 27001:2022 standard.

Companies currently using the ISO 27001:2013 standard must undergo recertification by October 31, 2025. At WeGo, we were more than punctual!
